pop shop houston: may 2014: pancho and leftey

this past weekend was pop shop’s may 2014 houston maker’s fair. this was my second craft fair to participate in. so much freakin’ work and stress goes into preparing for a fair, as you maybe know, i’m an artist and for the past year or so have been working on houston inspired crafts (namely texas-withaheartoverhoustonofcourse- pins texas coasters astrodome ornaments astrodome pillows and most recently loop 610 clutches ) i spend my days teaching preschool – and for the past few months – have spent literally all my nights and weekends listening to podcasts watching netflix and sewing. so so so much sewing and cutting and pinning and wow it’s good to be done. for a few weeks at least. my next big endeavor is to maybe approach a local -seller of local crafts- shop with some of my items, continue making and selling my astrodome pillows online, and pretty soon start preparing for the november pop shop.

it was so nice to meet my vendor neighbors and so many of you guys that came out to see me buy my stuff. quite a few of my customers said they’ve either run across this here blog and // or saw my pillows online. thanks again james (of the historian ) and john lomax (of the hostonia). until next pop shop, BYE.
