houston art car parade: 2014

i rode bikes with these friends to the houston art car parade 2014. it felt like summer and was pretty much the most fun way to spend the saturday. during the ride i said “aww yea bikes rule” since we got to go through the taft // west alabama intersection – through the barricades where cars weren’t allowed. a few pedals later i remembered we were headed to a completely CAR centered event. whale, bikes still rule, and heck there were even some bikes in the ride – so that was nice.

i didn’t expect the see the mayor on a float. but there she was, annise parker. i had a baby flash back to when makenzie and i met her and i asked her what her favorite breakfast food was and she said …. find out the answer in THIS post)

what you don’t know from these here pictures: i found that baseball hat on the ground and then left it on a fence when we left // we all had goodpop popsicles // makenzie and i both felt like kids in our “kid sandals” // at one point chris was in the allen parkway median standing in a 3 ft hole and waving to the cars crowds // that red tractor car was my favorite // we went swimming afterwards // i got my houston astrodome “do me right” shirt from THESE GUYS.
