Being Unique for Valentine's Day - Uncommon Goods

Valentine’s Day is creeping up on us and people are pulling out their wallets to drop on flowers and chocolates again! Personally though, I’m not really a fan of flowers and chocolates ‘cause it’s really just the same old same old. Usually when I’m thinking of great gifts for christmas, birthdays, and gift-giving days like Valentine’s Day, I google something like “unique gifts for boyfriends.” There was always a website that came up when I did that, Uncommon Goods. To my great disbelief and happiness, they contacted me about reviewing one of their products! Could I have raised my hand up any faster shouting “YES!”? Probably not.

Have you heard of Uncommon Goods before? I thought they were just a cool online shop for buying unique gifts for my friends, but they’re really a whole lot more. Most of the products they carry are made right here in the good ole USA (you know I’m all about that!). One-third of their collection uses recycled/upcycled materials!

In fact, the item I chose to review was made of an old wine bottle. Can you guess what it is? A terranium!!

Right out of the box, this is what it looks like! The box I received said that $1 of every order is donated to charity… sweet!! I patted myself on the shoulder a bit, haha.

Sweet!

What it came with easy instructions!

I built my terranium in a couple minutes and it’s gunna hang out at my studio window sill for awhile. When I see sprouts, I’m gunna post an update so you can see how it turns out!

Bottom line is, if I received something awesome like this terranium for Valetine’s Day instead of flowers and chocolates, I’d be wayyyy more excited! Wouldn’t you? If my boyfriend is reading this.. HINT HINT ;) hahahaha. Check out Uncommon Good’s Valentine’s Gift Ideas here for your sweetheart’s gift!

For all you fashionistas out there, if you wanna get yourself a gift (which I feel like I do maybe a little too often….) Uncommon Goods has some cute jewelry here to adorn your pretty selves.

The best thing about buying from Uncommon Goods is that you know you’re supporting a B Corporation that supports Non-profits such as RAINN, American Forests, Women for Women International, and City Harvest.

Until next time…!

xo,

Cindy
