Hardmoors 110 drop bags

My penultimate run before Saturday’s big race. I was busy at work today, outside and on my feet all day so felt a big sluggish for my run. Before you start feeling sorry for me I was referring a Football Tournament this morning and taking two session of Athletics for a school’s health week in the afternoon.

Nevertheless I was outside in the sun all day and it does tire you a bit!! Anyway an easy run with no problems so all good.

I’ve been working on my drop bags for the race. You can either be supported or unsupported in this race. I’m going to fall between the two. I’m going to be unsupported to Saltburn using the Osmotherley drop bag.

Katrina will meet me at Saltburn with some soup and bread! Then I’ll be unsupported again until Scarborough using the Ravenscar drop bag. Katrina will then run with me for the final 12 miles.

This may change a bit (Cara is having a look at for me!) but this is the plan for nutrition ….

I had a slight panic yesterday when I read Jon’s latest email which said we needed to carry 2 litre of fluid but thankfully it was a mistake and it is 1 litre!

So can get back our bags from Osmotherley and Ravenscar so I’m going to use a dry bag and put a clean top in. It’s always nice to be able to change tops during a race.

I now have 47 guesses for my ‘Guess My Time’ Competition. Thanks for those who have sent in a guess. If you want to take part you have until 6pm on Thursday to send in your guess!
