Slice of Life Sundays: 4-13-14

Hello friends. Just wanted to write and let you know that I’m alive and well. It’s been quite some time since I did a Slice of Life Sundays post. I’ve been taking a little breather and I recently went on vacation to visit my parents. We had a really nice visit. Work’s been a little hectic. The downside of going on vacation is coming back to piles of work.

I’ve become obsessed with paper crafting. I’ve been watching lots of videos on You Tube trying to absorb knowledge. It’s a foreign world to me and so out of my element. I tried my hand at copic coloring and was quite pleased with my first try. Well technically second because I ruined the first one by trying to add white to the eyes with a gel pen and smeared it.

I’m particularly interested in card making. In a world so consumed with social media & email it will be nice to send friends and family cards & notes that I’ve made myself. My goal is to make my own Christmas cards this year. If you’re a card maker let me know. Who inspires you? How did you learn?

I’ve found these great YouTube channels that are very inspiring: K Werner Design, Simon Says Stamp, Lawn Fawn, Catherine Stamps, Jennifer McGuire & Laura B.

And now my website is giving me issues so I think I’ll cut this short.
