MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Cream Blush

I’m a talker, I will strike up a conversation with anyone. I don’t ask too many personal questions but I will ask questions about your job/career if you like to talk about it. I usually know where the line is and my husband is always astounded with what people will tell me. If you are a make up artist I always ask for tips. I’m only okay at applying make-up so I am always looking for tips to ensure I never look like a clown. Lately I’ve been asking for tips for the over 35 age segment. The one thing all make-up artists seem to agree on is the importance of blush as we age. We just seem to lose those rosy young cheeks and need to remember to apply blush. When MAKE UP FOR EVER sent me their latest HD Cream Blush I decided to review it and post a few pictures.

It’s a cream based product with a very rich pigment. I selected shade 215 which is for lighter skin tones. I applied it to the apples of my cheek and it was very easy to apply and the finish was even. I like it better then the Bobbi Brown Cream product because the HD Cream is not as creamy and heavy as the Bobbie Brown product (I hope this makes sense) and I found it easier to apply. The Bobbi Brown product can be used on lips as well and you need to have a light touch when using it on your cheeks. The HD Cream goes on smoother and you can be liberal with the application without worrying you will look clown like. I am wearing the blush on the left side of my face for the first two pictures and on both sides of my face with the third.

I am very happy with this product and would recommend it. Do you wear blush? What are your favourite blush products?

Below is some more information on the HD Cream Blush:

What makes you blush? Introducing the latest innovation to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s iconic HD range, new HD Cream Blush has been created to melt into the skin for a natural flush of colour for both on camera and in everyday life.

HD Cream Blush is a next generation cream that looks, feels and performs up to the standards professional makeup artists require and consumers desire. Tested in front of HD cameras, the second skin formula blends seamlessly, making it undetectable both on screen and to the naked eye.

• The perfect balance of Silicone Oils, Dry Oils and Waxes offer infinite blendability in a long-lasting formula.

• Silica Powders and Synthetic Mica allow for a smooth, comfortable texture, while delivering a satin, soft-focus finish.

• Clear Mother-of-Pearl and Pigments give natural colour with a luminous finish for a radiant, healthy glow.

Created in sixteen shades to suit every skin tone, HD Cream Blush naturally sculpts and highlights the cheeks for a healthy glow. The hues range from light to medium to tan to deep both with cool and warm undertones. The small, lightweight compact includes a mirror and is convenient for any size makeup bag for touch ups on-the-go. Apply HD Cream Blush with fingertips, an HD Sponge, or Artisan Brush depending on desired result. Use a delicate sweeping motion to blend blush into skin.

Professional Tip: For a classic blush application that flatters any face shape, choose a full, rounded blush brush and apply the cream onto the apples of the cheeks in a figure “8” motion. Sweep from the top of the apple downwards then up and back towards the top of the ear.
