YSL is Launching a New Skincare Line

YSL will be debuting a new premium skincare line in February. It’s key ingredient is saffron, a rare spice found in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

Or Rouge, meaning “red gold” in French, also a nickname for saffron, promises to treat fine lines, wrinkles, lack of firmness and dullness, and other signs of aging.

Saffron contains a high amount of a glycan known as crocin. As we age, the amount of natural occurring glycans in our skin diminishes. This causes our skin to lose elasticity and age. Glycans help skin cells communicate, which keeps tissue structure firm and intact. Adding glycans to daily beauty routines may help aid in the fight against aging.

Or Rouge will launch exclusively at Harrods in the U.K. starting in early February, followed by a mid-March prelaunch in the U.S. on yslbeautyus.com. Or Rouge’s pricing is to be $420 for the 50-ml. cream, $240 for the 15-ml. eye cream and $150 for the 200-ml. lotion.
