I have been a little hard on my hair the past few months, blow dying and flat ironing more frequently then I usually do. I was given the opportunity through BeautyStat to test out the True Smooth spray. The True Smooth spray is said to help you achieve straight hair without using a flat iron.

My hair naturally curly, which means getting it straight is quite a process. I make attempts to limit heat styling when I can to reduce the possibility of damage. The Amino Lock MAB molecule is activated by your blow dryer to hold your style from the inside out as you dry. True Smooth is supposed to give you the same smooth, frizz free results you would get after flatironing without having to do that step. So smooth, frizz free hair without damage.

How to use: The coolway true smooth is a fine mist spray you apply to wet hair. According to the directions you adjust the amount of spritzes according to your hair length and type; recommended at between 25-45 sprays. My hair is fairly thick, so I went mid range and sprayed approximately 30 times. That sounds like a lot but this is over your entire head, not one section. After spraying you will comb the product through the hair. The mist is light and did not seem to add any weight or film to my hair.

Results: For me this product fared decent, it did not replace my need to use the flat iron. My hair is thick, course and textured. The coolway true smooth spray did cut down on my blow drying time and reduced breakage, however it did not get my hair straight enough on it's own. I was pleased with the way my hair felt after using it and I was able to use significantly less heat and less passes with the flatiron, so it did help. If you have less course, finer hair you may have better results with the spray alone.
