Happy Monday Beauties! Have you heard of Mischo Beauty? Mischo Beauty features a line of 5-Free Luxury Nail Lacquers. The line is cruelty free and made in America. I have two shades from the Fashion Week Collection to show you today and a little interview with the owner Kitiya King.
The Fashion Week Collection contains seven nail polish shades that are appropriate for both work and play. My first thought when I saw this collection was that it completely captures the look and feel of NY. The shades in this collection can take you from the office to out for cocktails without missing a beat. I love the look of the chic square glass bottles.
First up is the popular #NYFW: This is a wonderful rich midnight blue cream nail polish. Opaque in two coats, nice application and good wear.

Next we have Lincoln Center: This is a muted khaki green cream nail polish. Application was good. I found the formula of Lincoln Center to be a little thinner than #NYFW and applied three thin coats.
Kitiya King founder of Mischo Beauty hold a bachelors degree in Chemistry; she is also a licensed Cosmetologist, Manicurist, Esthetician and Makeup Artist.
Beyond Beauty Lounge: You have a refreshing personal style, what advice would you give to women looking to step out of a style rut? Kitiya King: I would suggest taking time to find what inspires you. I love creating inspiration boards of looks that inspire me or that I would like to emulate. The process allows you to gather your ideas in one place before rushing and doing something drastic with little or no thought behind it.
BBL:You wear many hats from entrepreneur to mom how do you balance all of these moving parts? KK: I must admit - it is difficult! I prioritize as best I can and am blessed to have a very supportive husband.
BBL: How has your beauty routine changed since becoming a mom? KK: Before my son was born, I use to experiment with beauty products all of the time. But now, I find that I've been forced to find my "holy grail" products that I use consistently.
BBL:Over the years some women have become increasingly conscious of the chemicals in beauty products, is their anything you try to avoid? KK: In nail polish specifically, I avoid formulations, which include formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin and camphor. They are all chemicals that should never find their way near your nails and are responsible for causing cancer, birth defects and reproductive issues. The Luxury Nail Lacquers from my line Mischo Beauty are 5-free, which means they are void of these toxins.
BBL:What has been the most challenging part of creating a nail lacquer line? KK: Creating a formulation that was 5-free, durable, chip-resistant and had great shine all in one was difficult, but after a year of perfecting the formula, I am so happy with the outcome.
BBL:What can we look forward to as Mischo Beauty continues to expand? KK: A color cosmetics line, including lip gloss, lipstick and blush is scheduled to be released in Fall 2014.
