#Dermalogica
As I was sitting down to write this post I realized it has been a while since I last had a facial. There was a time back when I didn't have so many responsibilities, that I used to treat myself very often. Way back many, many years ago circa 1999 or so I went to a new spa in my area for a facial and the Esthetician did a skin analysis on me. One of the products she recommended I use was the dermalogica daily microfoliant, and I have used it on and off ever since.
The dermalogica daily microfoliant is a rice-based powder exfoliating powder that is activated upon contact with water and gentle enough for daily use. Now that my skin is under control, I use this occasionally in my routine and daily the week before mother nature comes to cause havoc on my hormones. That routine has kept the monthly breakouts at bay.
The area around my nose and my cheeks are the spots that can get congested, the microfoliant helps to remove the dead skin cells and keep the pores clear.
At first glance the powder seems very fine, it is soft but once activated with water you will feel a bit of the gentle grit. It is not harsh at all, but just enough that you can feel it working.
This exfoliating powder also contains salicylic acid which aids in helping to clear and prevent pimples. My skin never feels raw or looks red after using this exfoliant. I'm sure the green tea and oatmeal in it are helping to keep things calm.
The addition of a rice powder exfoliant has been a game changer in my skin care routine, if you are not using one yet I highly recommend you give it a try. If you have a opportunity to have a skin care analysis or face mapping done by at a Dermalogica spa or authorized retailer I highly recommend that also. I was amazed at what the Esthetician taught me about my skin.
