Just Keep Moving

Sometimes life is tough. Just down right hard. It throws you lemons and curve balls left and right. And what more can you do than just keep moving?

Back in August I had the opportunity to hang out with a few gals and just chat during a roundtable discussion sponsored by Stayfree? pads. We each had our own stories. We each brought our own life hardships to the table and we just talked. Like, girlfriend style. It was refreshing and humbling to watch how others walk through things too. It also kept bringing to my mind that every day of this life is a gift. We don’t know what will come up tomorrow and we need to enjoy today. Worrying about what might happen tomorrow is borrowing trouble from the future. And ain’t nobody got time for dat.

I talked about seasons. There are seasons in life. Last spring when I chose to go to back to school the rest of my life took a hit. My work slowed down because I couldn’t take on as much. Dinner wasn’t on the table as much as it usually was, and I was tired. It was hard to think how I would make it through that semester. The one thing that kept coming to my mind was that this was just a moment. This was a season. I was super busy and barely keeping my head above water but it wasn’t forever. It was just in those few months where I just had to keep swimming.

Our little chat was filmed by a fantastic crew. I am excited to share with you the video that they put together from that day in August. And to all you ladies out there who are just peaking their head above the water – keep swimming, girls. Life will give you a break soon. It’s only for a season.
