Drinking water with fresh herbs

Good day everyone!

Today I am sharing a little something my Mom turned me onto while visiting with her recently.

Drinking water with fresh herbs.

I am not much of a water drinker. However, I know it is is important and essential for our bodies and I am trying to increase my water intake. Quite frankly, I just don’t care for water.

I am a big coffee drinker and that surely is not my daily dose of fluids for the day. We are not much of soda people, so I don’t drink soda or juice hardly ever. Give me my cup of Joe, or two, or three and I am good to go!

My Mom grows all her own fresh herbs.

So she goes out into her garden and picks them and keeps them pretty on her table for easy pickin for drinking and cooking.

I will be sharing more of her gardens soon with you.

I have some fresh herbs of my own on the counter too. I made those herb pots a few weeks ago and I do have the rosemary and mint on hand.

I just need to get some lavender and a few cucumbers.

You can make this water to taste. A few cucumbers, snips of lavender, rosemary and some mint.

I was addicted to it and drank way more water than I did coffee those days.

I don’t think we realize how much water can improve our overall health. Such a simple thing to do.

Our bodies are composed of about 60% water.

The functions of these bodily fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature.

Water Can Help Control Calories.

For years, dieters have been drinking lots of water as a weight loss strategy. While water doesn’t have any magical effect on weight loss, substituting it for higher calorie beverages can certainly help.

Water moisturizes your skin, keeps it fresh, soft, glowing and smooth. Gets rid of wrinkles. It’s the best anti-aging treatment around!

This is a big one for me…I tend to get a lot of headaches, I know why!

Helps relieve and prevent headaches (migraines & back pains too!) which are commonly caused by dehydration. I am definitely not drinking enough water.

Off to the store now to pick up a few more herbs and cuces!

Hope this encourages you as well to up the water!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping over today. Always nice to see you.

If you are not a regular here, hope you decide to become one.

XO
