new work : andria lindquist

It’s been a long time coming, but Andria Lindquist’s new website brand finally launched last week. Exciting!! Andria is a talented photographer with a keen eye for style tone. She’s one of those photographers where you know when you’re looking at her work, which is pretty cool if you ask me. Well over a year ago now, Andria and I discussed her vision, talked strategy, created a moodboard, and then began the task of designing the most complex website I’ve probably ever been a part of. While her brand is modern, classic, and fairly simple, the website is where she wanted to truly shine. Being that her work is the focus of all that she does, she wanted to truly showcase as much as she could in an organized fashion.

I remember when Andria sent over her site map outline. She was very thorough about what her needs were and I’m pretty sure my jaw dropped at the sheer amount of information she wanted to share. I knew it would be complex, but am so glad when challenges like this arise. Bring it on. During our whole process together, Andria was extremely invested in ending up with a brand that was unique and was 100% committed in doing so. Our email chain and conversations were long, as we discussed the best way to organize galleries, how to share information in an innovative way, and keep navigation simple above all. A large task, definitely, but one that was rewarding to figure out!

Because Andria’s website has so many little nooks and crannies, details and drop downs, it’s easier if you simply head over that way and navigate around yourself. Major props to Zoe Rooney for coding this beast of a website. I don’t know how she does it. Out of everything, though, my favorite feature is probably the world map that pin points Andria’s travels with corresponding blog posts. How that was coded is beyond me, but it’s fun to sift through! So after a solid year of hard work from all parties, this is where we are. Next up are a few individualized pricing guides, so more on that to come soon!

PS. Andria wrote up a really sweet blog post, right here, about what it was like to work with Zoe and Myself, in case you are curious. Above all, my suggestion to you, if you are looking for a designer, is to find somebody who is the RIGHT fit for you. It’s gotta feel right. That’s where the magic happens.
