Strutting In Isabel Marant’s “Cool” Booties

I’ve literally crunched my poor toes into more “uncomfortable” pairs of boots than I care to remember and for what reason??? The pathetic answer…just to look cool and buy the latest “ultimate” shoe booties. My toes have begged me to stop this ridiculous behavior. (I’m sure my charge cards agree, too) After parading around in my leopard Louboutin booties and on the verge of walking barefoot down Newbury Street (Boston’s answer to Melrose or Madison) I’ve decided the time has come to wear comfortable and stylish. I was shocked that I didn’t stop this uncomfortable (sky-high heel) indulgence after a recent luncheon in NYC where I “followed in my footsteps” again, walking barefoot on Lexington Ave til I flagged down a cab with heels in hand and jumped in.

Have I learned my lesson???? I think so!!! It’s now officially boot season and that lesson brings me to Isabel Marant’s fabulous Alease Studded Booties in Black with her signature detailing. Yes, I own them and they appear very comfortable and they’re super stylish. They’re not making their sidewalk debut until I’m totally sure they feel great. One thing I’m totally confident about…they look oh-so cool and they’re super sexy! The booties features wrap around straps with tie closures with grommet studded accents. These boots pair amazing with Marant’s dresses, Poliakoff Jeans in Anthracite and Silk Georgette Skirt in Black. If the grommets are too funky for you the Angie Calfskin Velvet (grommet-free) Leather Booties are available in plain black or bronze.
