Julianne Hough’s Thin Mint Smoothie Recipe

Who doesn’t love Julianne Hough? She’s a killer dancer, has great pipes and she looks fantastic in everything she wears. This Hollywood cutie is big into eating healthy and working hard to stay in shape. While I may not share her gusto for the gym (ahem) I do love when I can ‘treat’ myself with a healthy and tasty snack. And if you’re like me your ears perk up when someone says “Thin Mint.”

Smoothies are a big hit with my kids and I pull out my Ninja quite often to make them for after school snacks. So when I saw this recipe I had to share. Check out this Thin Mint Smoothie Recipe that is one of Julianne Hough’s favorite treats. You’re gonna love this!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup plain, nonfat greek yogurt
1/4 cup fresh mint (tightly packed)
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1 cup baby spinach
1 tbsp. maple syrup, to sweeten
2 cups ice

Place all ingredients in your blender of choice (Ninja!) starting with the ice first to make sure it gets chopped up well. Blend for about 30 seconds and Enjoy!

Ingredient Swapouts:

1/4 Dark Chocolate Chips – can swap with Dark Chocolate Almond Milk (just over a cup)

Fresh Mint – can swap with mint extact or flavored syrups (to taste)

Greek Yogurt – can swap with Low Fat Yogurt (but greek packs a bigger protein punch)

Baby Spinach – Don’t be a wuss. You aren’t going to tast it, trust me.
