French Cafe Bebe Shower Part 2

Welcome to Part 2 of my French Cafe Bebe Shower! In Part 1 We cover details about the burlap banners, the large paper wall flowers, the burlap bows and how we did the Creperie! Here I’ll talk about table details and sources!

This shower was made possible by Bing Smart Search! I used their new search tool to surf for ideas, so be sure to check out more about that in Part 1!

Again I also want to thank a new (to me) AWESOME photographer, Miss Heather Hackney. This shower was so poorly lit, just bulb lights overhead! But she worked her magic and captured the details so perfectly. Honestly the best! Thanks girl.

This was my main table spread! The GORGEOUS flowers were a last-minute donation by the talented Lizy Bowden, she had them from a previous event, and they seriously MADE the decor. Fresh flowers just really glam a space up! Don’t you think?!

The wine crates took me a while to find! I have been looking for similar crates for months, and I finally found these at JoAnne Crafts for about $14 each (but you can use your coupon!) Haha. They add some height to the table and I will be able to use them for lots of things.

At the shower we served french cheeses, fig spread, baguettes, haha lots of them! And then some other savory pastry goodies that were put on the table with a green salad when guests arrived. Then crepes for dessert!

I wanted to add a french flair to the “champagne” glasses so I added mini berets (that I made with felt and elastic thread) and mustaches. The mustaches were attached to straws I found at the party store. So instead of cutting out all those mustaches I just peeled them off the straws and taped them to the plastic flutes.

This, by the way, is my FAVORITE picture of the night.

I like to buy inexpensive chargers, like that gold one I got from Target for $3, and use them as serving platters.

I figured a French baby shower was the right time to try making French Macarons for the first time…haha they totally pissed me off and mine were far from perfect, but they were passable. I filled them with raspberry buttercream and decided to put them out in these adorable tiny baskets.

I did that instead of giving them out as favors because I feel like people always forget to take home party favors, or they rarely use them. So I’d rather spend time and effort on the decor.

I also used the tiny baskets to prop up my mini chalkboard signs.

I was VERY excited to have an excuse to use my new favorite cocktail napkins from Farewell Paperie. Gold and hot pink?! Could they have been more perfect? I think not.

Moving on to the the crepe station! I put these yummies out as guests arrived, then made room for the giant crepe maker later on. See more in Part 1!

I LOVED using these berry baskets to put out my berries! Haha. I lined them with parchment paper to make them a bit fancier? I don’t know, I thought it was cute.

You can see that I also used Freshly Picked Moccasins to add a touch of “bebe” here and there! Susan Petersen is a good friend of Heather’s as well! She came early and helped sprinkle them around like a magic mocc fairy.

A mocc French flag! And I love the navy ones.

I put out those temporary tattoo mustaches because they were too cute NOT to buy. Gigi made a cameo and put them all over her tiny self. But I also used them on some goblets I had painted gold. They stuck perfectly!

And I THINK that’s about it! Like I said, the details for the other stuff are in Part 1, but here is Heather, the mama-to-be with Miss Susan (Freshly Picked).

And here we are! I got this dress from Junie Blake just for the shower because it seemed French! haha, I’m not even embarrassed to admit I thought about what I was going to wear. I usually don’t and then I’m always mad later. It was nice not having to think what to put on right as the party was starting.

Also, hello chesty-la-roo, GEESH I forget how big those suckers are. Gotta keep em in check.

Sigh, I love throwing parties for people I love. Have I mentioned how much I love to party?

Well actually I don’t really like to GO to parties, I kind of hate it. But this party was really, really fun. I really love PLANNING parties.

Thanks for tuning in!

And thanks again to Bing Smart Search and Heather for being pregnant. I really appreciate it! Haha.
