What’s new at High Point Market

Hi guys! We’re down in High Point, North Carolina for the Furniture Market for the next few days. Yesterday was our first real day hitting the showrooms. Market happens twice a year, once in the Fall and once in the Spring, where furniture and accessory manufacturers from across the country come to show what’s new from their lines. It’s a great place for interior designers to get inspired and gather new resources. This time we got to be a part of a great panel for Domino magazine with Jenny Komenda, Mark D Sikes, and Paloma Contreras talking about how blogs are changing the interior design world. It was really great fun.

One of the best new collections of the Fall season is by NYC interior designer Celerie Kemble for Lane Venture. She has created a fabulous collection of outdoor furniture inspired by 60′s Palm Beach furniture. Wave-y wicker abounds, like below on this table and chairs (we’ll show you more of our favorite pieces from this collection on Thursday).

Niermann Weeks has come out with a glamorous line of lighting for Visual Comfort. We loved these feather motif chandeliers.

Phoebe Howard for Sherill is always a favorite stop for us. Howard’s rooms are unfailingly feminine and calming. She came out with this new canopy bed:

As well as this scroll arm bedroom chair:

Lots of designers are embracing wicker furniture for inside this season. Mariette Himes Gomez has designed this chic ripple wicker console. We love the informality a little piece of wicker adds to any room.
A lovely blue and white collection…

As well as some simple white pottery…

Oomph (our go-to source for colorful lacquered furniture) is introducing this totally whimsical tassle-pull dresser:

Hickory Chair introduced new lighting. We can’t get enough of these Stephen Antonson-esque chandeliers.

Leather counter and bar stools from Made Goods with chic contrast stitching:

Celebrity favorite Kelly Wearstler has launched a line of lighting with Visual Comfort. Her collection is a great example of her singular and trendsetting style.

More of what’s new and fab at Market tomorrow!
