Save time and money with CouponMate

Tomorrow is “Black Friday”. I know some people who treat that day as some kind of battle where they strategically plot out each and every move. They literally plot out their every move and have their “game plan” down to a science.

I did the Black Friday thing once. I guess is scared me for life because I have no interest whatsoever to get up at the crack of dawn, fight for a parking spot and stand online for hours on end just to save a few dollars.

I’m an online shopper. I do almost all my shopping online. I prefer to shop online because I don’t have to deal with long lines, rude people, items I want to purchase being unavailable and not having to drive all over the place to find what I am looking for.

When I shop online I always do a Google search for coupons to help save me money on my purchases. It’s rather time consuming but it’s worth it if I can save money.

I hate it when I come across a great coupon that no longer works or has expired (unbeknownst to me). Ugh!

What if you could shop at your favorite stores and have the coupons come to you? That is the idea behind CouponMate. CouponMate looks for coupons from around the web for the particular website you are shopping on. It will even pick out the best coupon for you based on your intended purchases.

According to CouponMate;

The goal of the CouponMate extension is to make the “coupon hunting” process easier. We search the web daily for all the best coupon codes for over 100,000 brands, and we are even working to automate the process of applying the best code to your cart — roughly 250 websites are supported for this automation so far.

You’re able to browse the latest coupon codes for websites you visit at any time without having to leave said website, and on supported websites, you can also use our “Find Best Coupon” feature which will appear in a small window during checkout to automatically find and apply the best code for your specific items. We hope you find the extension to be successful and easy to use.

CouponMate is designed to make coupons readily available for you as you surf your favorite shops.

There are two different types of sites that support CouponMate.

Type 1: These are websites for which CouponMate collects coupon codes – these coupon codes can be viewed in a side window from your browser, clicked on, and copied directly to your clipboard. You can then paste these codes to the appropriate place at checkout.

Type 2: These websites have all the capabilities of Type 1 in addition to having an automated “Find Best Coupon” feature which will search through the best coupon codes found and automatically apply the top code for your purchase.

With the holiday season upon us I’m sure many people will be shopping at these stores and others supported by CouponMate.

Most sites are still in the Type 1 phase as mentioned above, but more and more site are being added to the Type 2 section including Macy’s, PacSun and Express.

I’m always a bit “iffy” about downloading anything on my computer, but I gave CouponMate a chance. It was really easy to download and install. I’m “technologically challenged” sometimes and I had no problem getting CouponMate up and running.

Currently it’s only available for Google Chrome. Versions for the other browsers – Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari – are currently in development and should be available soon.

I really like CouponMate. Now there is no more searching the Internet for coupons that may or may not work. CouponMate finds coupons for me simply by clicking on the icon. CouponMate not only saves me time but money too.
