Beauty Reboot for Summer with Saks Beauty Week

Saks Beauty Week was perfectly timed. The fates aligned, I was able to get my mother in law to watch the baby, clean out all the old make up, and head downtown for a summer beauty reboot.

Take advantage of this- beauty week runs Thursday May 29 - Saturday June 7. Get a cute colorful make up pouch (which I would personally use as a summer clutch, right?) with purchase of $75, though many counters have their own promotions going on as well, so be sure to ask. Freshly picked skin care and colors for summer, along with juice from Pressed Juicery, offerings from HelloFresh, KIND, and even barre demos in store. Huh, like they know I still need to shed the last few baby pounds too.

I took advantage of the event by stocking up on summer essentials. Bronzer, sun block, and bright lip and nail color. Specifically, lavender shades of lipstick and gloss from NARS, along with lavender mascara from Dior, balanced with some sunny polish and gloss. The Chantecialle SPF is not only SPF 50, but quite possibly the sheerest, lightest, dreamiest SPF I have ever tried. Something you don't mind putting all over your face multiple times a day. I predict completely gone within a month.

The most exciting beauty news however, was the debut of Saks Boston's latest addition, the brand spanking new Tom Ford Beauty boutique. I was quite literally the first customer to have make up done and to make a purchase. I have been a solid fan of Mr. Ford's colors since the beginning and took the chance to stock up on a few new ones. Including this ultra shine gloss- which is mana from heaven. Like if I was stranded on a desert island and could only bring two things, one would be this gloss and one would be their illuminating primer, the #1 seller for the line. For good reason. I hate foundation in the summer, but this, I can get down with.
