just recently, i went on this girly netflix marathon of 'the princess diaries', 'the princess diaries 2' and then 'enchanted'. it was nice escapism to say the least (and discovering that it was a newcomer chris pine as the love interest in 'the princess diaries 2'? it's fun to watch when they start out). i guess i must have fairy tales on the mind, as i fell instantly in love with this
snowrose skirt when i saw it on the anthropologie site. it's the silhouette that does it and moulinette soeurs has the formula down pat: a full, romantic feminine skirt. the tulle is underneath and there is also a pink slip which gives it additional dimension. this is a princess skirt without being too overtly foofy (a word my male colleagues use for fussy or overdone). i did not opt for the petite version because i wanted a longer length. because the skirt is big without being too theatrical, it definitely work appropriate (well for me.. i think people there expect me not to conform to a strict office uniform!)
also: i think a girl has licence to freely swish in something like this! joining tara's what i wore to work
