Windows of the City: A work in progress

Hand embroidered wattle and bottle brush with laser engraved and hand stitched gum leaves

Laser engraved banksia with hand embroidered detail
I have spent the last six weeks working my fingers to the bone on my pieces for the Windows of the City installation. I install everything this Sunday at Beans & Bunches and I can't wait to see how it is going to look with Stacey's amazing flowers.

Hand embroidering onto the wood was a real challenge but I am pleased with how it turned out. I have one more wood embroidery to do before the weekend and then I think I am pretty much done. Official photographs of all the window displays will be released next but you can stay up-to-date with my install via my instagram.
