FASHION NEWS / LOUIS VUITTON FALL 2014 BY NICOLAS GHESQUIERE

Nicolas Ghesquiere’s work for Balenciaga was always one of my main anticipations of each fashion week (rip McQueen) and since he has taken over Louis Vuitton I was even more excited. Balenciaga is currently in good hands, but for me LV has not been really my thing ever. It always felt too much with their overlogoed bags that felt more like a status symbol of the ones that don’t have much to show and we all know that Marc Jacobs is rather an amazing stylist than a trend setting designer. Don’t get me wrong I love him to bits, but I believe LV deserved a shake.

The minimal set design said it all. Look at my clothes, it’s not a circus. This was a presentation of a brand new Vuitton, nothing to do with what we have gotten used to through the years, forgetting the archives and keeping the accessories heritage making them appealing to even me, myself and I. I still love you Nicolas Ghesquiere!
