Stenciled Cactus Planter

Time: 40 minutes
Materials: planter, acrylic paint, stencil, mod podge, glitter, brush

It may be a pain to clean, but my love for glitter is endless. Thankfully Amy from Mod Podge Rocks teamed up with Plaid to make the coolest stencils I’ve ever used (available for sale at Michael’s). Perfect glitter polka dots with minimal effort? Count me in!

Start by painting your planter with the color of your choice. Because of the terra cotta surface, the paint dries fast and you should be able to do two coats in no time!

Peel your stencil from the packaging and apply on the planter. The stencil is reusable, so don’t discard the film it comes on (and be sure to wash it when you’re done)!

Dab on a layer of Mod Podge then peel off the stencil. Before it dries, cover dots in glitter. Use a brush to wipe of any excess glitter. Repeat until area is completely covered. Let dry then pot your cactus.

For those of you born without a green thumb, here are some few basic tips for keeping your cactus alive and happy—
