Dining Rooms | Hooked Pendant Lighting

One of my favourite features in our living area is the hooked lighting, which I wrote about here. Ceiling hooks provide a simple yet visually appealing solution when you need to reposition hanging pendants to provide lighting over the dining table. Much easier and cheaper than calling in the electrician!

While I love the minimalist look of simple bulbs, such as the Muuto E27 Pendants Lamps, you can hook up any pendant light that takes your fancy. Industrial style lights like the one above, contemporary chandeliers like the one below, a pair of lights... the list goes on.

Perfectly suited to high ceilings, the length of the cord allows you to position the lights at whichever height you like. The ceiling beams below provide an ideal place for winding the cord. I also really love these caged work lamps right now.

When it comes to hooks, I highly recommend the 3M Command range for damage free hanging. I used them in our living area, with 3M transparent adhesive.
