Surf baby.
I was way too excited when I received a couple of new rash guards in the mail from PacSun. I couldn’t wait to test them out in California. This one is my favorite because it has sleeves so it helps protect my arms and keep them slightly warmer.
It was such an interesting experience to surf in California vs. New York. I had a bit more of a struggle… not sure if it was because of the wind, the inconsistency of the waves or my poor choice in a board. (I picked a harder board to surf on). But nonetheless I went out again and again and had a blast!
The guys working the surfboard rental were HILARIOUS. They kept saying “brah” and calling me “blue-eyes”. I guess that’s my official beach name? I’ll take it. They insisted I rent a wetsuit even though I insisted I didn’t need it. They said the water was way too cold and I told them I was from Michigan and cold water wasn’t a thing for me. I was right! I never even put the wetsuit on. I was cold when I finally got out of the water and the icy cold wind hit me… yikes.
