My Life in February 2014 & Other Updates

Okay, so I’ve kind of been MIA lately. Again. I’m getting really good at that I guess. I know I always apologize for my prolonged absences and make promises about how I’ll start posting regularly again, but I’m not doing that this time. I’m certain I will be back to the blogging world sometime, but when that will be I can’t say for sure. If you’ve stuck with me for this long than I sincerely thank you and hope you’ll continue to do so through yet another unexpected hiatus. I totally understand if you don’t though; no hard feelings either way.

Now that that’s out of the way, here are a few highlights of the past month.

Andrew and I celebrated Valentine’s Day a couple of days late to skip the crowds and because I was insanely busy that day, but we still had a wonderful night out together. We got some sushi and fancy green tea ice cream followed by a trip to Target to get Ender’s Game which we watched as soon as we got home. It was perfect.

My friend’s band, A Work of Fiction, played an awesome show this past weekend.

My best friend is the manager of a locally owned chocolate factory and recruited my help during Valentine’s Day week (which is why I was too busy/tired to go out on V-Day). Originally I was only going to be cutting strawberries to be covered in chocolate and helping to package them for customers, but I ended up getting trained on just about everything else as well so I could help out in the showroom. Now it’s turned into a temporary full time job for me and I love it. I’m surrounded by chocolate and I get to hang out with my best friend all day. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Andrew also landed himself a job and is taking a class at the community college. This job is only part time and doesn’t meet his contract requirements, but it’s still a major blessing. Life is feeling pretty amazing right now. I think the only things that could make it better is if we had our own place and Andrew had a job he loved and also fulfilled his contract, but I’m certainly not complaining. Things are looking up and I’m excited about the future.
