My Life in August 2014

The month began with a trip to the Dublin Irish Festival with Andrew’s family. This was our second year going (you can read about last year’s visit here, if you’re really interested). The usual festivities were enjoyed; walking around, listening to music, drinking beer, and painting the plow.

Finished Speaker for the Dead and moved onto The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. So far so good on my reading goals for the B425challenge.

Took a trip to Cedar Point courtesy of Andrew’s employer. It was later in the month, after school started back up, so the park was practically empty. I think the longest wait we had was 45 minutes and that was mainly due to the ride breaking down. I also got to pet a goat. So yeah, it was pretty sweet.

Started back up at the chocolate factory! We’re quickly approaching busy season (Sweetest Day through Mother’s Day – basically all the candy giving holidays) and soon I’ll be back to 40 hours a week. So if blog posts start to become a bit more sporadic, you know why.

August ended with the first annual Fashion Meets Music Festival in Columbus. It featured a lot of local bands plus some big names like Switchfoot and New Found Glory. Guess who I went to see. ;) And the best part – completely free. No joke. All you pay for is food. Pretty sweet deal. If you’re in the C-bus area then you should def plan on attending next year. I know I’ll be there!
