Kérastase Discipline Treatment (and Giveaway!)
If you’ve been a long time reader, I’m sure you’ve heard me mention the difficulties I have with my hair; frizzy, hard-to-manage, coarse, split ends; I could go on and on. So of course I was beyond thrilled to partner with Kérastase to test out their new Discipline Protocol, an in-salon, non-chemical, hair smoothing treatment designed to restore and repair hair, to make it easier to style, and to get rid of frizz and fly-aways.
My experience began 4 weeks ago with a visit to Blonde Salon, where I was greeted by the sweetest stylist, Danee. She started my appointment with a consultation, then began the Discipline treatment. Step 1, she washed my hair with the Discipline Shampoo, then blow dried it. Step 2, Danee applied the Discipline treatment in small sections at a time, and once again blow dried my hair to activate the treatment and let it seep into my hair. Step 3, she used a hair straightener to smooth the cuticle and lock the treatment. Step 4, she rinsed the treatment out of my hair, and gave me a gorgeous blow out.
Immediately, I could see the results of the treatment. Smooth, gorgeous hair, with greatly reduced frizz and fly-aways. Here is a photo taken immediately after the treatment.
For the next 4 weeks, I used the Kérastase Discipline products at home to extend the results of the treatment. Danee mentioned that I would see results for up to 21 washes. I’m at about 18 washes and I can still see a noticeable difference in the frizziness and manageability of my hair. The products I’m using are the Kérastase Discipline Bain Fluidealiste shampoo, Maskeratine hair mask and Spray Fluidissme leave-in conditioner. I absolutely love these products and will continue to use all of them going forward.
Another big difference I noticed with my hair is the reduced drying time. With those extra minutes, I actually have time to curl my hair instead of quickly using a hair straightener before running out the door. Here is a photo about a week after the treatment and with added curl. Even my curls look more smooth and less frizzy.
Overall, I am completely happy and impressed with the Kérastase Discipline treatment and products. This is a treatment that I will most certainly get again in the future, and I will definitely continue to use these products to control and manage my hair.
