bumble & bumble Crème de Coco Masque

If there was ever a thorough trial, this was it. As you can see I'm nearly out of bumble and bumble's Crème de Coco Masque, and I have to say I really haven't fallen for this product. I like to think hair masques have an easy job with my hair: it might be long, but it's not frizzy, coarse, thick or otherwise all that unmanageable. I have fantastic results with products like Macadamia's Deep Repair Masque where my hair is left soft as silk for days after treating it, so I had high hopes for bumble and bumble's offering. Not only is it rated highly by members of the notoriously hard to please MakeUpAlley, it also claims to be ideal for dry and dull hair (check) and able to transform hair with moisture, softness and silliness (all things my mop could do with).
Ingredients wise it's a blend of tropical butters and scented with coconut and that's one thing I'll give it - it smells dreamy. If you like your coconutty, summery scents you'd definitely like this; but I can't attest to the results. Sadly this leaves my hair dry and knotty - despite prepping it with a Tangle Teezer and leaving it on for as long as humanely possible, which bumble & bumble recommend for optimum results. Once it’s combed through and dried, it’s definitely soft, but nothing I couldn’t achieve with a ‘regular’ conditioner—and something that’d cost me half the price (this retails for an eyewatering £22.50). The only thing I can identify that’s really positive about this product is its beautiful scent—but for me it was a major disappointment.
Would I recommend it to anyone? Perhaps someone with shorter hair, but other than that, I wouldn’t. Like I said, my hair is quite manageable and other very similar products do a brilliant job on my hair: sadly, bumble & bumble’s offering has fallen really short.
