An Evening with Caroline Hirons at Caudalie

Can you believe it was only this past February that saw Caudalie's first ever London-based boutique open its doors?! For a brand that has been climbing the ranks steadily since its founding in 1993, Caudalie maintains that family feel - small, intimate and friendly, with products that never diverge from their message of a greener planet, and ethical, clean, effective skincare. The boutique sits pretty on Monmouth Street in the uber-chic Seven Dials, the shopping mecca of Covent Garden, and is staffed by dedicated, wonderfully French staff, whose passion for their brand is immediately apparent.
Last Wednesday night saw skincare guru Caroline Hirons and a gaggle of skincare fiends descend on the boutique for an evening of wine (from the Caudalie vineyards, no less), cheese, and everyone's favourite subject - skincare. Caroline (who is her own best example of why good, tailored skincare is so important - she is positively glowing) gave us a run down of her top Caudalie picks, which I've included at the bottom of this post. After her roundup of Caudalie favourites, the floor was opened for questions from women concerned about stretch marks, to eye creams, to the link between diets and your skin. It was fantastic to hear Caroline speak in person and she is reassuringly exactly the same in real life as you'd imagine from her writing.
Regular readers of my blog will know what a huge fan of Caudalie I am so it was a win-win for me - advice from Caroline and a night surrounded by some of my best-loved, most-trusted products. I also got to have a whiff of the new Parfum Divin - and went home with some new additions which I'll be reviewing in due course!
