Faith in Nature Hair Care

To kick things off for November I wanted to talk about a brand called Faith in Nature, born in Edinburgh and committed to working with nature sustainably and ecologically. I was invited to trial and review a shampoo and conditioner duo from their very extensive range and decided to go for the Coconut variety as a) it was designed for normal/dry hair and b) I want to cling on to the last of the sunshine with smells that remind me of summer. I’m always intrigued these days by ‘natural’ hair care products, not least because I discovered a brand a few months ago that, quite frankly, changed my life. My regular ‘salon’ hair care was giving me the world’s itchiest scalp so I switched to an all-natural regime courtesy of Intelligent Nutrients and not only did my itchy scalp disappear, it left me with healthier, shinier, happier hair than I have had in years. I've talked more about that here.

I figured, if Faith in Nature worked, it'd be a far cheaper solution (400ml is £5.50 – that’s about twice the size of your regular bottle). And it does work. It doesn’t perform quite the same miracles as I’m now used to from my natural hair care regime, but it does a very good job. A tiny amount of shampoo gently cleanses and the conditioner really does leave the roots shiny and healthy, without a split end in sight. My only criticism would be that it doesn’t detangle my hair as well as I’m used to; not a deal breaker, but it does mean I spend a considerably longer amount of time fighting my Tangle Teezer. I’d recommend Faith in Nature to anyone who wanted a new, natural direction with their hair care, or to anyone who regularly uses silicone-heavy hair products (read: most people) who could do with a gentle, natural cleanse.

Have you tried any of the Faith in Nature range? What did you think?

The products are available from the Faith in Nature website.
