Milani Bedazzled Collection Haul & Swatches

Milani, Milani, Milani. I’m all for limited edition collections but why do you have to make it so hard for us?! First you drop these amazingly beautiful Constellation Gel Eyeliners on us. Then you toss in 3 of your upcoming matte lipsticks in the most gorgeous of shades. And then to top it all off, you made them all limited edition with only 2 of each product per CVS or Walgreens. So, so cruel! I thought I was going to lose my mind looking for this collection!

Oh but was the search so worth it! This collection is too beautiful to even put in words. I couldn’t even capture its true beauty in pictures. Everything looked so good. Especially the Constellation Gel Eyeliners. Man, those things are stunning! They look like little pieces of galaxy stuffed into gorgeous gold jar. I sat at my vanity staring at them for days. I just couldn’t bring myself to use them just yet. They’re such sight for sore eyes!

There’s 3 gorgeous Constellation Gel Eyeliners in the collection:

  • Enchanted Lapis deep shimmering navy blue
  • Enchanted Black Opal shimmery cobalt
  • Enchanted Emerald deep shimmering forest green

All 3 shades have a shimmering overspray that wipes away after the first use. It seems like some the glitter still finds its way into the rest of the product though so you’ll still have a nice spacey sheen. Each shade is nicely pigmented but none of them are fully opaque in one swipe. I had to build them a bit to achieve an even, opaque look. I tried on Enchanted Lapis and fell for it rather quickly though! It’s incredibly creamy and feels almost like a cream eyeshadow. It seemed to work well for creating a bold cat eye but it applied a little streaky. I’m still getting the hang of things but I have a feeling people will prefer to smudge them for a smokey look. Either way, I’m loving the way Enchanted Lapis looks on me and I can’t wait to play with it more!

The new matte lipsticks in this collection were totally up my alley too. They matched the whole jewel tone theme perfectly! There’s 3 shades including:

  • Enchanted Topaz warm pinky beige
  • Enchanted Amethyst mid-tone pinky lavender
  • Enchanted Ruby deep berry red

All of the lipsticks are beautiful shades that will work well for a variety of complexions. Not to mention they’re great for fall! I’m not the biggest fan of the matte Color Statement lipstick formula but I’m happy to report this formula is totally different. I’ve only tried on Enchanted Amethyst so far but it’s pretty creamy and seems to play kindly with my dry lips. The new matte formula reminds me a lot of MAC’s Retro Matte formula. The finish is ultra matte with no shine at all but it doesn’t seem to suck all of the moisture out of my lips.

I’ve seen people compare these to MAC Velvet Teddy, RiRi Boy and Heaux lipsticks as close dupes on Instagram. I don’t own Velvet Teddy so I can’t help you much there. But Enchanted Amethyst and Enchanted Ruby are very, very close to RiRi Boy and Heaux from Rihanna’s super limited edition RiRi Hearts MAC summer collection. The differences are pretty small when swatched so I have a feeling they’ll be nearly identical on the lips. So if you missed out on Heaux and RiRi Boy then you need this! If you haven’t spotted the Milani Bedazzled Collection display in your area don’t quite freak out yet. My local Walgreens just received their stock a few days ago so it may not be in yet. According to Milani’s Instagram, this collection will be available online next month so keep an eye out! UPDATE: The collection is available online NOW! Click here to shop. Happy hauling!
