Wet n Wild Bordeaux Boulevard MegaLast Matte Lipstick Review

Drugstore makeup definitely has its pros but it doesn’t come without cons. Sure everything is super cheap but drugstore shopping isn’t always easy. Especially when it comes to limited edition collections. Talk about a headache! I hate to say it but it can be worse than MAC sometimes!

Finding the limited edition Wet n Wild Matte Fall Collection was quite the headache. The entire time I searched for them I kept thinking to myself, “These things better be good.” And they are! I’m talking really good. To the point where I just might need a backup or two!

Bordeaux Boulevard is a cool muted grape with a creamy matte finish and slight sheen. The color reminds me a lot of MAC Goddess of the Sea lipstick. It’s a very wearable purple that I think a lot of complexions can pull off. Not too bright. Not too vampy. It’s not as bold as I’m used to but it adds a nice touch of color to any look.

And the formula is just fantastic! Bordeaux Boulevard has a lightweight creamy texture that glides onto the lips smoothly with great pigmentation. It applies evenly and opaque in a single swipe and wears very well. Bordeaux Boulevard doesn’t settle into lip lines, emphasize dry spots, bleed or feather. It’s surprisingly very comfortable to wear too! The formula isn’t drying at all and it lasts for around 4-6 hours before fading into a stain. Bordeaux Boulevard is easily a lipstick you can toss on and go without worries. I didn’t need any primer, lip liner or balm to make it look its best. The only downfall is the limited availability. Wet n Wild seriously needs to make these new matte shades permanent!
