DIY Michael Kors colorblock pants

These colorblock trousers are made with two pair of pants that have the exact front zipper and diagonal side pockets, plus: the seam on the front crease that will keep the sharp look all day long! (and with the leftover parts make another pair for your BFF!)

DIY colorblock Royal Blue Black pants // supplies:

- Boohoo - Jenna 7/8 tapered trousers: 1 pair in black and 1 pair in royal blue {gifted}
- Seam Ripper

- pins

- black thread and sewing machine

DIY colorblock Royal Blue Black pants the how-to // tutorial:

Pin down (on both pair of pants) the pockets.

un-pick the hems (on both pants)

Un-do the seams on both side of the legs (on both pants)

Remove the belt on the front of the blue pants and
leave the belt on the black pants:
the back part of the belt will be still sewn on,
while the seams on the front part of the black pants will be un-sewn
and still attached only by the sides.

Put the two parts of the pants together - right sides in -
pin (or bast) and sew a straight stitch where the original seam was originally.

After the two legs are sewn together,
finish the edges with a zig-zag stitch.

Sew down the black belt on the blue front:
first by sewing down the outside part (right sides in).

Then, pin down the inner side.

And sew a straight stitch on the right side of the pants,
right in the center where the black belt and the blue front are meeting.
At this point, I decided to add the button on the front, rather than leaving the inside button... just because I like it better :)

Use the buttonhole foot on your sewing machine to create a buttonhole on the front flap of the belt.

Sew a black button on the inner flap of the belt
and your most fashionable pants for the fall are finished!
