theBalm How ‘Bout Them Apples Cheek & Lip Cream Palette

theBalm How ‘Bout Them Apples Cheek & Lip Cream Palette is a multipurpose cream blush palette consisting of six shades. Like most cream blushes these can be used on both the lips and cheeks. The formula of these cream blushes is somewhat similar to the cheek & lip creams included in other theBalm Palettes such as “Balm Voyage,” “Balm Jovi” and “Balmbini ” These cream blushes have a thick, creamy consistency, but are super pigmented and easy to apply on the cheeks (but do require some work for blending) In terms of staying power these perform relativity well, but I don’t have issues with my blush fading. I’m not a huge fan of these on the lips as they are quite sheer making them really only suitable for those with fair skin not to mention they are quite drying, apply very unevenly, fade and bleed/feather around the mouth. Overall I think this is a great cream blush palette that I highly recommend and one I will continue to use time and time again, whilst the lip aspect is convenient I don’t think this palette works well on the lips.

theBalm How ‘Bout Them Apples Cheek & Lip Cream Palette Lip Swatches Cider, Cobbler, Pie, Crisp, Candy, Caramel

Cider is a cream cool toned, light pink shade with no shimmer. This is my least favourite shade out of the range as it applied unevenly & accentuated dry & flaky patches on the lips.

Cobbler is a creamy, bright candy apple red shade with no shimmer. Although I love this shade it does apply unevenly.

Pie is a pretty, creamy coral pink shade with no shimmer and one of my favourites out of the range

Crisp is a warm coral shade with golden shimmer (similar to NARS Orgasm) because of the very noticeable shimmer and the unevenness in application it is my least favourite shade out of the range

Candy is a matte, bright, bubblegum pink shade with no shimmer, this shade is my favourite out of the range as it has the most pigment and applies evenly.

Caramel is a glossy warm toned brown red shade with no shimmer.
