Happy June 3rd!
If you follow me via Instagram, you would have seen that I posted a pic on Friday wearing this shirt at work and that I said I was remixing it for an after work outfit. Its been 90 degrees here in NYC so Ive been trying to wear lighter fabrics and this shirt is light and perfect to keep cooler.
When I actually walked into the garage at work the guys were like I brought my own sunshine to work, but they really liked how the color complemented my skin. I hardly every get complements from them since I usually wear my simple tees, basic jeans and my beat up work boots or sneakers and my outfits aren't really loud or dazzling. But I don't really care since I'm surrounded by mechanics and truck drivers all day. So I'mtrying to be as comfortable as possible and wearing clothes that stand up to the wear and dirt from working in a garage/concrete plant. But as soon as the work day is over I cant wait to pop on a skirt with some heels and have a bit of a girl moment again.
So Friday when I got home I decided to throw on a skirt, some heels and pink lipstick and headed out the door for dinner with David. I also grabbed the sunglasses that happened to match my shirt. I have to thank Lisa, who I met at the Karen Walker show, that I went to in February, her friend hooked us up with some sunglasses.
Oh and I don't know why but my eyes decided to be green in color this week. My eyes are normally blue, crazy!
