Beijing Duck

恭王府 (Gong Wangfu), or Prince's Mansion, in my opinion translates more accurately into "The Prime Minister's Mansion", because the occupant was Emperor's minister who ascended the ranks rather than being born into royalty as a prince would have.

I feel like it is a very juvenile thing to do, but feeding ducks by the water never gets old for me. My friends joked that I was just fattening them up to become Beijing 烤鸭 (roast duck). It's said that if you don't eat roast duck while in Beijing, you haven't experienced Beijing at its fullest. Nonetheless, I still haven't eaten duck here.

I particularly liked to see their housing; I found the architecture very zen.

The one regret is that I didn't have a paint set with me, it was such beautiful weather and atmosphere that I wanted to paint plein air like the impressionists did, but just to buy the collapsible easel here is around 200元.
