The blogger returns....

I must first apologies profusely for the recent 'Holly-shaped' void in the interweb. No real excuses to be honest - a mixture of busyness, tiredness, the lovely London weather and a pinch of laziness is just not really conducive to regular and quality blog posts! However, I am ultra excited to say that my absence has been filled with rather exciting happenings in Hollyville that I am more than pleased to share with you now with great a huge toothy grin.
Firstly, here are some shots from a recent shoot that I did with LCF graduate Boo Pala. I am always keen to promote and champion new designers, and if I get to cover my pink bits in their gorgeous sartorial creations then all the better! ( even if I manage to step in dog poo-poo whilst wearing said designers' gorgeous limited edition printed shoes...oops.) As you can see the garments couldn't be more up my street, with their heady juxtaposition of colour, pattern and texture. I was more than tempted to roll up one of the silk jackets and inconspicuously stick it in my bag before legging it to the tube, but apparently that's not the kind of behaviour expected from a working model.....
The last couple of weeks have also been filled to the rafters with projects. Firstly, at 4am on a chilly Tuesday morning in June I was awoken by my alarm clock in order to head to the studio to shoot....drum roll..... the latest Jessie J video! I'm more of a 1970's folk kind of girl too be honest so I wasn't too up on Jessie's back catalogue but she was certainly a very pleasant lady in person! I can't say too much about the vid until it's released later this month, but let's just say that you need to keep your eyes peeled for my little blue head nonchalantly bobbing up and down to a poptastic tune from the bald-headed songstress soon!
And finally, I am super proud to announce that I will be making my professional stage debut this Autumn in a national tour of 'Alice in Wonderland' with the renowned Volcano Theatre Company. I absolutely love Lewis Caroll's original surrealist text so it's a bit of a fantastical dream job to be honest. Described as "...a 21st-century asylum, filled with Ambition, Distraction, Uglification and Derision" the piece is certainly not going to follow the same road as Disney's twee adaptation with it's saccerine blonde Alice; instead "in Volcano's version the strangeness of the world Alice encounters is not removed from everyday reality but deeply rooted in the insanities of our culture and society." Don't think we're going to be seeing any singing daffodils thank god... I start rehearsals in September and tour through October and November. I am just thrilled. I hope some of you can come and see me going down a rabbit hole, running a caucaus race, smoking with a caterpillar or whatever else I might be doing.
So that's my news in it's entirety! Any of you been up to anything life-changingly fantastic? Let me know the latest goss kids! Anyway, I will endeavour to be a more consistent blogger in the near future and not take any more month long vacations. Thanks for coming back!
A warm embrace and a tap on the arse for each of you!
