Lately…well, pretty much since I started making some of my clothing…I’ve become much more aware of the true cost of things and how much work goes into the shirt I’m wearing. As a result, my conscious consumerism bent has been heightened quite a bit. {Currently, I’m reading Overdressed, a great read but pretty disheartening.} I love the idea of my consumer dollars going towards more than just a product, as evidenced by my love of TOMS and Warby Parker, so I was really excited when I was contacted by Kim of Kidogo Kidogo. For those of you who haven’t heard of it, Kidogo Kidogo is an iPhone case company started by Kim and her sister. Here’s what Kim had to say about the company:
Each phone case purchased (for a very reasonable $30) goes toward buying either a phone or phone credits for women in Tanzania. Plus, the fun artwork on the cases was designed by a Tanzania-based artist! Kim offered me a case to check out and, unfortunately, I have an iPhone 5c so it wouldn’t work for me (though they hope to have those soon), but I got her permission to give it away to one of you lucky readers!
The case is for an iPhone 5/5s and is a nice molded material with the print continuing on the sides. It has a matte feel which is nice and grippy. Plus, I love the birds! If you have a 5/5s and are are a US resident over 18, enter to win below! Otherwise, check out Kidogo Kidogo and help support cases that care (there are also 4/4s cases available)! The photos below are the actual case that is available for the giveaway.
NB: Kidogo Kidogo donated the case for this giveaway but I was not otherwise compensated for this review. I think this is an excellent product and business model and wanted to share it with my readers!
