About the Look: Hi friends! I wore this look a few weeks ago during New York Fashion Week. I had a great trip packed with meetings, showroom visits and a few beautiful shows. It was nice to escape the district for a few days and feel the energy of the city. I also really enjoyed seeing, and meeting, some of my favorite bloggers as well as the kind people I work with regularly with for my blog. It's always pleasant matching a face to an email address. Anyway, if you like any of the pieces in this look, read below for my review on the fit/quality.
- Plaid Denim: Plaid is hard to wear on the bottom half. When you have straight lines on a curvy body, things can get tricky; however, the stretch on this pair is just right so they seemed to fit nicely AND comfortably. I borrowed them from Jennifer from Haute Off The Rack because she just raved about them (see how she styled hers here and here). I wanted to see what all of the hype was about. The girl was right, per usual.
-
- Fit: I definitely would recommend sizing up! I normally wear a 0/2, but I took a 4 in these.
- Promo-code:Additionally, French Connection is having a major end of the season sale. All sale items are an extra 30% off with promo-code S14SHOP (this also includes free shipping)!
- Purchase: (Available via French Connection)
- Bomber Jacket: Add a bomber jacket to your Spring shopping list. It's a fun trend than can add some edge to your pastels, florals and feminine pieces. I love this one by Gap.
- Barrel Bag: I've had my eye on this bag since I discovered Gigi New York quite some time ago. The barrel shape is one of my favorites and trust me, it's even more stunning in person.
-
- Bag Tag: My latest obsession is adding this little guy to my bags. It adds a touch of my personality.
-
- Boots: I got these boots from Zara because I thought they would be chic and practical during fashion week; however, they were not very comfortable. The soles feel thin and the quality just isn't there. I love the style, but I'd recommend investing in a higher quality shoe to get the look!
