Eighteen Weeks

We ended up at the fair again this past weekend :) Corey and Paloma brought the kids down and we wondered around for about 4 hours seeing what there was to see. We met up with Tim, Joy, and Rett and another couple as well, but ended up getting separated early on and weren't able to reconnect. I don't know that I would recommend going on closing day to anyone, really. I couldn't believe how crowded it was. When James and I went before, we went on Friday night of opening weekend, and it was no where near as crowded as it was yesterday.

Anyway. The rest of the week was great! James started his new job and was home almost every evening by 5! Some nights he was home before I was. His typically work week for the past year had him home anywhere between 8:30 - 10pm most nights. So this was definitely unusual and we really soaked it in. He used to work Saturdays as well and this week he had Saturday off.. it really felt like our weekend doubled in length.

I even had enough energy on Sunday morning that we were able to go through a lot of stuff in the house, purge a lot, clean and dust.. It felt really good. We accomplished a lot more this weekend than we have in many many many.

This Tuesday is our anatomy scan and I have a midwife appt on Wednesday.. Then on Friday, my darling friend Katie is flying down to hang out and play all weekend. It's going to be a great week!

Weekly Stats

How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain: 7 pounds
Maternity clothes? I'm still sort of wearing whatever I can. I have purchased a lot of long and lean tanks from Target because they're stretchy and I think they'll last me the whole pregnancy, even though they aren't "maternity". I want to get some more maxi skirts and maxi dresses...
Stretch marks? Nothing yet.
Sleep Habits: I'm actually sleeping really well again, all through the night, 8 hrs a night. I am staring to use a few more pillows to stay comfortable, but mostly things are good.
Best moment this week: No vomiting! And James started his new job and is loving it so far.
Miss anything? Just normalcy. A lot of stuff is in flux right now. All good things, just a lot going on.
Movement: Not yet :(
Food cravings: No real cravings.. except I did really want a baskin robbins waffle cone the other day.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Some smells still trigger a bit of nausea for me, but otherwise it's just if my stomach gets to empty. As long as I'm eating regularly, I'm generally okay. In fact, I was feeling so not nauseous for a few days this past week that I started to wonder if something was wrong.. there are so many unknowns in pregnancy.
Gender: Little baby boy :)
Labor Signs: Nothing yet.
Symptoms: Really not that much.. the burping is still happening. Which I still think is just so awful, but James doesn't seem to mind, lol. I did have a random leg cramp a couple of weeks ago, but thankfully it hasn't happened again. I am starting to get my appetite back, and I actually want to eat instead of forcing myself to eat.
Belly Button in or out? In, but it IS getting shallower. Which is something that I wasn't sure would even happen. It will really be strange to see it pop out.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I've been pretty sensitive lately. I do think I'm generally pretty happy, but as I alluded to earlier, there are just a lot of things in flux for us right now, so it's easier than I wish it were to get swept up in "what if's" and wondering how to make plans for the coming months. I know how important it is for me to stay calm and healthy though, so I'm trying to focus more on that.
Looking forward to: Our anatomy scan next week, and feeling movement!
