Super Bowl XLVIII 2014 Eye Make-Up!

Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!

I know it's going to be a busy one for a lot of you since the Super Bowl is tomorrow. Lot's of parties, yummy food, oh and I guess Football! Sadly, my team (New Orleans Saints, who dat?!) didn't make it this year. That doesn't stop me from taking part in the festivities and you'll definitely catch me on the sofa with a nice cold adult beverage tomorrow evening.
For now, I thought it'd be fun to play with some makeup in the colors of the teams that are playing. Please don't burn me at the stake if I get this wrong, I'm just going by what I know and some pictures I Google'd as inspiration.

Seattle Seahawk's colors are what looks to me like a navy blue and a neon green. Yikes! Love the colors but that's going to be tricky with makeup. I used the shape of the Seahawk's head as inspiration and came up with this fun little cat eye shaped look.

I used a mixing medium, a navy shadow and an angled detail brush to draw out the dramatic cat eye shape. I used the same mixing medium with a neon pigment to create a liner following the same shape of the blue. I then applied these super drama lashes that I got around Halloween of last year and never got around to wearing. They are the perfect shape for this look.

Now for the Denver Broncos. Their colors are orange and navy blue. Another not so usual makeup combo but I'll give it a go just for fun!

This look is more simple and closer to a style I'd wear regularly, minus the colors haha. I applied a a matte orange all over the lid followed by a wash of navy blue in the crease. I added a dark blue and a tad bit of black on the outer corner for some added depth. I still wasn't happy with the way it looked so I added a bit of a coppery, shimmery orange over the matte orange. The lashes are a smaller version of the ones I used in the Seahawk look above.
Overall, these are both probably not something I'd wear normally but it was definitely fun playing with colors compared to my usual neutrals. I think I'd like to try the Seahawk look with different colors eventually. Let me know if you want a list of products I used or to know a specific product.
What do you guys think? Do you tend to stick to neutrals or rock the bright colors?
More importantly, who would you like to see win this years Super Bowl?!
