Building a MAC Collection: March 2014

Well hello there! Last week was INSANE, to say the least! My mom had surgery in the beginning of the week so I was busy taking care of her. Thankfully, shes doing better now and things are starting to calm down and get back to normal.

Anyway, Today I have something very exciting to share with you all! My good friend Mercedes from Beyond Beauty Lounge and I are coming together to bring you a new series called Building a MAC Collection.

We've been talking about this for a while now and I'm so excited to finally share it with you all! If you are a regular reader of beauty blogs I'm sure you're aware of all the monthly beauty subscription boxes out there. I was sucked into subscribing to a few of them and began to realize I'd never use most of the samples I got. I have a box under my vanity full of samples that I barely ever touch.

Mercedes came across a feature that Mama Fashionista and Pammy Blogs Beauty did called MAC Matters which basically consisted of them dropping their monthly subscriptions and putting the money towards building a collection of MAC. We decided to play off that idea and came up with Building a MAC Collection (BAMC)

Rules:

  • Each month we will have a $50 limit.
  • If you happen to stay under the limit, the remainder will rollover to the next month.
  • BAMC posts will be up on the first Monday of every month

I don't have a huge MAC collection, ok maybe more than the average person, but MAC face products is where I lack. For my first installment of BAMC I decided to start a MAC face palette.
  • Single Large Pro Palette - $8.00
  • Pro Palette 6 Pan Insert - $2.00
  • Sculpting Powder in Shadester - $16.50
  • Shaping Powder in Emphasize - $16.50

Bringing my grand total for this month to $43! Which means I have $7 to roll over to next month.

I've been using both of these since I got them and LOVE them!!! I use Shadester for contouring and Emphasize for highlighting and setting my under eye concealer. They are both so smooth and buttery for being powders.
This is going to be so much fun! We encourage you all to take part in BAMC with us! If there is interest we can even set up a link up.
What are your must have MAC products? I would love to get suggestions!
