Hard copies of memories

Being in Istanbul and having so many Turkish friends that use old-fashioned cameras and get their films developed reminds me of the lost art of having hard copies of photos. I use polaroids, but I have vowed myself to start printing photos and making albums. I am going home to Australia for 3 weeks in from mid-September and I am going to organise my memories and get them printed. Here are some good options of personalised calendars from Photobox. They are Australian-based so I will use them when I am home. I am a big fan of canvas prints- I once got one of these printed for a special person (picture below) with a picture of us and an elephant in India.

I am glad to have used polaroids and disposable cameras over the years, this made India particularly special and looking back on the photos and the soft colours makes me very nostalgic.
