Week in the Life | Thursday | Megan

This week I’m participating in Ali Edward’s Week in the Life. You can read about my plan for this year and how I’ve tackled this project in the past here. For Monday-Thursday, I’m focusing on one of us per day. Thursday was all about me.

When I woke up, I put on new pajamas for the day, helped Eliza get ready for school, made coffee, and settled in to check into the message boards for the first day of Catch Up with Project Life.

After Jake left, I gave Jonas a bath and started laundry. I finished up the blog post for the day.

I attempted to clean up the first floor before my little charges for the day arrived around 10:30, but they beat me too it.

My friends’ kids Ava and Lydia played here this afternoon. Jonas and Ava ran around like cute little tornadoes and Lydia was very snuggly. I watched Gilmore Girls during bottle times.

We read a HUGE stack of books.

While Lydia napped, I tried to set up Jonas and Ava with a movie so I could do yoga. Didn’t work. I snuck in bits of work here in there when I could.

Eliza and her friend played after school, so there were 5 kids here for a while! All of the extra kids went home and Paul stopped by before work so we could vent to each other and watch an episode of The Daily Show.

I made cauliflower quiche and green beans for dinner (I sauté the green beans with olive oil, garlic, and a bit of lemon juice). Of course I forgot an ingredient, so Jake had to run to the grocery store for me. Luckily there’s one in our neighborhood.

We played with the kids and ate dinner. Jonas fell asleep on Jake while we were watching Modern Family. Jake watched a bunch of educational You Tube videos while I answered questions on the Project Life Message boards.

I took a bath and read The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury before bed.

It might not look like it, but it was a VERY exhausting day.
