China Glaze Sea Goddess Collection Swatches and Review

Happy Wednesday! Please send good vibes my way. If you know me (really) well in real life, then you know where I am at the very second this post goes live. I could be off the grid for a few days. Eeeck! But I planned ahead and finished my Lacquer Legion mani in advance just in case! (Are you posting with us on Friday?) So today I have swatches of the six beautiful matte (but sparkly) spring-hued, textured polishes that make up the China Glaze Sea Goddess Collection (original press release here). I was excited for this one because I’m SO ready for Spring, yet I don’t want to give up all that winter bling just yet. These are perfect to fill the gap! I had to overexpose the pics a bit to get the polish the right color, so excuse the ghost hands! :)

China Glaze describes Seahorsin’ Around as a “mermaid-tail turquoise with soft gold shimmer.” The golden shimmer is very subtle and I love the darker teal glitters suspended in the lighter teal base. Beautiful! My swatch is two coats.

Shell We Dance is a bright, rose-pink highlighted with darker pink and silver glitters. This medium shade is really flattering and the finish was easy to achieve in two coats.

Sand Dolla Make You Holla is a slightly off-white texture with a pastel rainbow of fine glitters sprinkled throughout. I’m not a huge fan of this one. I like my pale neutrals best when they’re smooth and clean. But that’s just personal preference. No issues with the formula.

Teal the Tide Turns leans seafoam-y green. The shade is pretty, but the finish is flatter than the others…more lumps, less sparkle. I like it though. This is two coats.

Wish on a Starfish has a light pink base with a bright gold shimmer. The combination is stunning! It doesn’t seem like you see light pink paired with gold shimmer as much (more often it’s silver). And I might (just might) wear this one to work. That’s huge!

And last but not least is my fave from the collection. Tail Me Something is a sparkly lavender. It has the most bling of the six…metallic practically! And the purple shade is so bright and springy!

I’m still totally on-board the texture train! If chunky glitters have staying power, than there’s no reason a sparkly, course finish can’t stick around too. What do you think? Will you be picking any of these up?
