Pregnancy Notes – 36 weeks update

How far along? 36 weeks!

Total weight gain: 11.5kg. Still the same as last week.

Stretch marks: None. But my tummy was feeling tight and itchy again a few days ago so it may be getting bigger again soon!

Sleep: Ok. I can still sleep with one head pillow, but sometimes I use two.. haha..

Best moment this week: When we got the nursery ready. We finally got her cot last Saturday and Robby spent a few hours building it. Also all newborn clothes, blankets, etc are all washed now. Hospital bag mostly packed. Busy weekend!

Pretty? ;)

Miss anything? Being not pregnant maybe? It’s been a while… LOL.

Movement: For the past few days I’ve also been feeling her head occasionally pushing downwards throughout the day. But I’m still walking normally, not waddling or feeling like there’s anything between my legs. So I’m not sure if that means anything.

Food cravings: None.

Anything making you queasy or sick? No.

Gender: Girl

Labour signs: Not sure if these counts – menstrual-like cramps that come and go, pelvic pressure (I feel like she’s headbutting me downwards.. haha..), more aching in my lower back & bum. No contraction so far though, nor other signs I was told to watch out for.

Symptoms: Ok I found out I have probably a mild carpal tunnel syndrome, which is a common pregnancy symptom. So I’ll wake up with achy finger joints and my fingers just feel swollen. But once I move them around in the morning, they’re fine. My back is getting more achy too. And… my feet seem to get a bit swollen by the end of the day. Like.. they just look that little bit smoother on the surface, you know? Hahaha…

Belly button in or out? Out.

Wedding rings on or off? Off. It’s been getting harder to get the ring through the bony part of my ring finger. So I’m now wearing it on a chain as a necklace.

Happy or moody most of the time: Quite happy. I’m looking forward more and more to our baby’s arrival.

Looking forward to: Another check-up next week when I’ll officially be full term!
