5 Things to Talk About Today

What a great day to be alive on Earth with Internet connection. I've been sharing video and article links like it's my job. Oh wait, it is my job! Cool. The links rolled in early this morning, so if you're still playing catch up, here are some fantastic things to talk about: 1. Kim Kardashian Took 1,200 Selfies in Thailand Kim Kardashian makes Narcissus himself look like an introvert. On her most recent trip to Thailand, she apparently took a grand total of 1,200 selfies for a "book" for Kanye. Question: can one consider oneself an author if the text is just selfies? Another question: if you counted, how many selfies do you think you have on your phone right now? I'm afraid to look. (BuzzFeed)

2. Curl Your Eyelashes With Fire Now you can be one step closer to looking hot -- LITERALLY! -- with eyelashes that are the very definition of hot. The Cut enlightens us on this Korean beauty treatment that acts somewhat like a curling iron for your face. Would you try it? (The Cut) 3. The Great Amelia Bedelia Hoax Growing up, I disliked Amelia Bedelia because she gave the name a bad reputation — she was always screwing shit up and as a toddler I was like, GET IT TOGETHER GIRL. Even her Wikipedia page is a mess; it's just been revealed that false information has been listed under her name as a prank since 2009. (Daily Dot) 4. Snoopy is the Latest Style Icon Beyoncé may "not be a style icon," but Snoopy is. Little did we know that inside Snoopy's dog house was actually a full walk-in closet. An exhibit called "Snoopy and Belle in Fashion" will open Sept. 8 at the New Museum just in time for New York Fashion Week. (*Belle is Snoopy's sister, in case you're not a huge Charlie Brown nerd.) 5. Hilary Duff "Chases the Sun," Whatever That Means Hilary Duff is making a comeback with the debut of her new song "Chasing the Sun," but both the song and the music video fall a little short. (She rhymes "fun" with "sun" and "young.") We'll always have your back though, Lizzie McG. YOU CHASE THAT SUN.
