URBAN DECAY NAKED FLUSHED

You can’t see me right now but I’m doing a little summertime dance because looking at these colours gets me really excited – I mean look at them! Urban Decay is a brand that rarely disappoints me, I don’t think I need to tell the story of me searching high and low for it on a childhood trip to London again but suffice to say I’ve spent more than my fair share of pocket money on their products throughout my life starting with some dubiously hued lipglosses and now thankfully moving on to more refined colours! I’m quite drawn to multi-tasking products and I bloody love a good palette so it’s pretty obvious that these would tick all the boxes for me. I’m someone who feels pretty naked without blusher (naked, get it?) so the idea of a multi-tasking offering to add some colour, definition and glow is very appealing indeed.

These 3-in-1 flushed palettes are nothing new but these shades are, pictured from top-bottom Strip, Native and Streak. The idea is the same with all of them, but as you can see they will all suit different skin tones and tastes. All three of these are definitely cooler when it comes to bronzer than the original Naked Flushed palette which I don’t actually own, but even these comparatively cool bronzers vary in tone. Strip (shown at the top) is the warmest of the bunch and is a quite deep shimmery brown with a mauve toned blush and shimmery highlighter with gold tones. Native (middle) has a beautiful bright pink blusher and the bronzer is lighter than Strip but still has shimmer in there, whilst the highlighter has pink undertones. My favourite of the bunch (and the most wearable in my opinion for my complexion) is Streak, shown at the bottom. It not only has a peachy blusher which is always the kind of colour I go for, but it is the only one with a matte bronzer, quite light in tone and therefore perfect for contouring. The highlighter is peachy and goes nicely with the blusher so I know this will be a daily favourite of mine. I love the Streak lipstick and lipgloss from Urban Decay so it’s not a shocker that this is the standout one for me.

Design wise these are lovely, quite compact and slim but the pan is big enough to get a brush in each section easily. Sometimes with these multi-use palettes they look beautiful but you can barely fit a small brush in there so what’s the point? Thankfully these are really functional and the big mirror makes them practical too. The only downside is that the product is quite finely milled and can therefore be a little powdery. It’s very pigmented and therefore it applies beautifully, it’s almost buttery (especially Streak as the colours are quite matte) but there is a little fallout on the palette itself when you use your brush. It really is nothing major but worth bearing in mind as they are so finely milled they might not withstand a lot of travelling or moving around. Overall I think these are beautiful, and I can see me getting more use out of the other shades when I have a tan and don’t mind a bit of shimmer in my bronzer.

They retail for £22 which is great for such a versatile product, and are out now!
