#MANIMONDAY Teal Nails

Check me out arranging flowers and being all fancy, just minding my own business! Taking blog photos makes me laugh sometimes. You have to contort yourself in some really odd ways to get a birds eye view (food photos) stare wistfully into the distance (face makeup) and stand in the same pose for what feels like an eternity (outfits) – the one thing I always find it hard to do is take nail photos. I can never master the “I’m clutching an invisible tennis ball” nail photos so I’m trying to find some more interesting ways to show you what’s on my nails. I have a feeling I will be holding many a coffee cup and fondling many a flower in these posts – prepare yo’selves! Today I’m wearing one of the Rimmel 60 seconds nail polishes from the Rita Ora collection I wrote about here. Rimmel make some of my favourite polish formulas and I pretty much loved all the colours in Rita’s range (nice one, Rita!) but hadn’t worn this much so I thought it was time to unleash that teal!

I love the way teal looks with a tan so I think I need to whip out some of the gradual tanner tonight because I am looking pasty! The formula is lovely on these polishes and it always dries well and is opaque in two coats. The brush is slanted too so it’s nice to use. I thought I would juxtapose the flower arranging shot with one showing you what I actually looked like: no makeup, pineapple bun and watching Dr Phil when I should have been making dinner. I’m going to make it now before my neighbours mistake my stomach rumbles for an earthquake!
